Trash and Recycling - Collection and Disposal
Items NOT For Trash or Recycling
Some things cannot be put into trash or single stream recycling. Pesticides, solvents, fluorescent tubes, oil based paint, and similar must be taken to a household hazardous waste collection event. Electronics such as computers and TV’s are banned from landfills in PA and must be recycled. Auto tires and some Auto fluids can be disposed of separately at SECCRA. For more information on how to dispose of these items, see Franklin’s Recycling web page.
Drop Off Disposal
Residents are able to dispose of trash and recycling at the Southern Chester County Refuse Association, or SECCRA located at 219 Street Road, West Grove, PA 19390 (London Grove Township). There are single stream recycling bins at the front of the facility and a trash disposal area beyond the check-in gate. Note – open truck beds must be covered by a tarp. See links below for more details.
Residents can also dispose of single stream recycling items in the SECCRA bins next to the Township office. Residents must only put in designated items.
In addition to SECCRA, residents have access to the Chester County Solid Waste Authority or CCSWA at 7224 Division Highway, Narvon, PA 17555.
