A Special Thank You! Eagle Scout, Owen O’Reilly

On behalf of the Board of Supervisors, Parks, Recreation & Open Space Committee (PRO), staff and community, Franklin Township would like to share a heartfelt thank you to Eagle Scout Owen O’Reilly.

Owen worked on constructing a new arbor and entrance for the Healing Garden at Crossan Park. The beautiful white arbor and brick walkway were completed in September 2023 and a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony were held on September 16, 2023, at the Franklin Fall Festival.

Owen worked with the Board of Supervisors, the PRO and directly with Supervisor Dawn Dowling, on the updates and details of his plan. Ms. Dowling was thrilled to be a part of his journey and to attend Owen’s Eagle Scout Ceremony in February 2024.

Great job Owen! He joins a list of wonderful Scouts we have in the community that have given back to us all through their projects, many of which can be seen at Crossan Park. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors and hope everyone can visit Crossan Park’s Healing Garden to enjoy Owen’s hard work.
