Residents’ Concerns – PENNDOT OWNED ROADS

Over the past two days, the Franklin Township Office has received a couple of phone calls regarding potholes and the terrible condition of the following roads which are owned by PENNDOT and not Franklin Township:

1. North Creek Road
2. Northbank Road
3. North Clay Creek Road

Franklin Township has forwarded your concerns to PENNDOT and Representative John Lawrence.  We would encourage our residents and or concerned residents to contact PENNDOT - Chester County Maintenance on 1-484-340-3200, and or please contact Representative Lawrence's Office directly at 1-610-869-1602.

The Township will include a PENNDOT map with this post which shows the difference between PENNDOT owned roads and Franklin Township owned roads.  First, try and locate Route 896.  You will see that this road as a double line, which indicates a PENNDOT owned road.  Now please try and locate Gypsy Hill Road.  You will notice that this road has a single, darker line, indicating a Franklin Township owned road.
