Please join Jenny Wood every Tuesday night at Crossan Park, starting at 6:30 PM for Bellydancing Classes.

Jenny will be located on the lawn across from the first parking lot.

Jenny Wood is currently offering weekly classes at The Light Within in West Grove PA, The Kennett Y,  and monthly at Now & Zen Yoga in West Chester and The Lotus Center in Elkton Md.  Private lessons are available, please contact Jenny for details.

She is also available for bookings for private and public events. Please call or email Jenny for a consultation, and she can plan a program tailored to fit your event. Options include a performance with props including veil, sword, tray of candles, or wings, crowd participation song, and/or a lesson for your guests. Please reach out to book in advance to ensure I am available, and to allow enough time for me to create a memorable performance plan for your event.

Jenny began studying Egyptian Cabaret bellydance in 2003, which led to performing beginning in 2004 and teaching in 2006. In 2005 she joined Najia's (Philadelphia Bellydance) performance troupe, 1001 Dreams. Throughout the years, Jenny had many wonderful performance opportunities including the Philadelphia King Tut Exhibit, The Philadelphia Housing Authority, Pop Raqs, East Coast Bellydance Classic, and appeared on Mind TV and Splurge. In addition to public performances and private events (Proms, Weddings, Anniversary party's, Bachelorette Party's, Bridal Showers, and Birthday Parties) she danced regularly at several Philadelphia restaurants such as Casablanca and Fez, and was the principal dancer at Al Dana. In Austin TX she regularly performed at Pharas and Alborz.

Sharing her love of belly dance led to teaching positions at Delaware County Community College, Southwest Austin Y, Mainline Health, Kennett Y, The Light Within, Shannondell, New Castle Schools (teacher program), The Lotus Center, and Now & Zen. Jenny is continually studying and practicing bellydance and gather inspiration from other dance styles including tribal, ballet, hip hop fusion, and improv dance - particularly Group Motion format.

Please show your support for Jenny so we can continue to have programs at Crossan Park.
