Franklin Township - Banffshire Cleanup

Saturday April 4 and Sunday, April 5

Volunteers are needed to work with members of the Franklin Sportsman’s Association removing vines from the trees. These vines are killing the trees so it is important we remove them now.

If you are interested in this project, please:

  • Contact the Township Office and tell us which day you would like to volunteer. (610) 255-5212 or email to
  • Bring your own gloves, chainsaws, trimmers, loppers and/or machetes.
  • We’d like to get an idea of how many volunteers to expect; but if you wake up on Saturday or Sunday morning and decide to help out, that’s great too!
  • All volunteers will need to take their own precautions against poison ivy and poison oak while they are on site.
  • In light of the COVID – 19 Virus, stay home if you have come in contact with anyone who has not been feeling well.

Bob Macknis of the FSA is heading up this project and will meet you in the Banffshire parking lot at 9:00 AM each day.  The Preserve is located across the street from 316 Chesterville Rd. Landenberg, PA.  If you plan on attending, please print off a
volunteer form, fill it out and be prepared to hand it to Bob Macknis upon your arrival.
